Skin Care: Coconut oil is excellent massage oil for the skin as well. It acts as an effective moisturizer on all types of skins including dry skin. The benefit of coconut oil on the skin is comparable to that of mineral oil. Further, unlike mineral oil, there is no chance of having any adverse side effects on the skin with the application of coconut oil. Coconut oil therefore is a safe solution for preventing dryness and flaking of skin. It also delays wrinkles, and sagging of skin which normally become prominent with age. Coconut oil also helps in treating various skin problems including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema and other skin infections. Therefore coconut oil forms the basic ingredient of various body care products such as soaps, lotions, creams, etc., used for skin care. Coconut oil also helps in preventing premature aging and degenerative diseases due to its antioxidant properties. Attachments:

It does not clog pores.
Coconut Oil For Dry Skin Dry skin:
For dry skin, you can apply coconut oil all over. Then stand in a steamy shower for a few minutes (without the water splashing on you). Rinse off in warm (not hot) water, using a light touch of soap if necessary. Most of the oil will have absorbed into your skin by now, so you may not need to use any soap at all.
The less soap you use on your skin, the better. Our skin is designed to have a natural layer of oils on it which help protect the skin, as well as help facilitate the production of vitamin D when exposed to sunlight.
Coconut oil makes a great massage oil for the skin:
Pure coconut oil is the best massage oil! I know a number of massage therapists who prefer using coconut oil, not only for its delightful feeling on the skin, but also because it does not go rancid the way other oils do at room temperature.
Coconut Oil For Problem Skin Acne:
Pure, raw, virgin coconut oil is safe to use as a facial moisturizer, even when there is acne present. It does not clog pores. When used topically a number of people have reported a significant decrease in severe acne symptoms.
Coconut Oil For Skin Fungus Infections Cradle cap, diaper rash, and sebhorreic dermatitis:
The anti-fungal properties of raw coconut oil make it the best topical remedy for these fungal candida skin infections. Use pure, unrefined, virgin coconut oil topically, applied as often as you wish, to relieve and help cure fungal skin infections.
Coconut Oil For Skin Rosacea:
People with rosacea have reported improvements when using pure virgin coconut oil topically.
Coconut Oil For Skin Warts:
Coconut oil has been used effectively in the treatment of warts, by applying it to a band-aid each day and keeping the wart covered for a few weeks. The anti-viral properties of the coconut oil (it must be pure, unrefined, virgin coconut oil) penetrate the wart and it eventually disappears.
Coconut oil for the skin Eye Makeup Remover
Coconut oil is gentle enough to use for eye makeup removal.
